Richard Clegg makes resin casts of easels, keys, brushes and other cast aside objects. Their physical nature is both rediscovered and undermined, and the use of colour gives the objects a magical quality. Their transformation retains their essence but renders them both functionless and more meaningful. Their context and relationships to us are changed creating a dialogue between what is alien and familiar.
